December 1st….
Where has the year gone.. they say the older you get the faster time goes…never really believed that, I’m positive age has nothing to do with it…just there are so many experiences and things to do and enjoy…makes time fly – maybe the truth is when you are having fun, enjoying life time flies….I like that one better!!!!
Reflection
So reflecting on my year, gosh so much as happened….skinmatters moved into a new clinic – yes & its ours so no more moves. New start and a new building opened on Independence Day 4th July – quite apt really! The process of renovating, gardens, painting etc etc …. was only achieved by the incredible help of the “Muck in Team” as they decided this was the perfect name for them. For me they were “angels in overalls”, holding paint brushes, loading trailers, offering me support, coffee, wine – yes friends are precious and I cannot say how thankful I was and still am for their loving help….
skinmatters opened on the 4th July… and was joined by Anna Graham Naturopath … Anna is a true professional, a wonderful addition to the clinic and great to work alongside – combining our ethos of health – inside and out – for our clients. So if you haven’t seen or been to visit please come and see our gorgeous new premises, its lovely and private, has loads of space and the space “feels great” (thats not just my words but many of our clients as well)…
After that monumental shift, renovation… it was off to Bali for my “immersion in selfcare”… learning that holidays can be about taking time just for you…again thanks to my darling friend who insisted that if I joined her in Bali then there would be no “have to’s” no courses/seminars just loads of self care…. I have to say it was divine and some of you may have followed my daily account on FaceBook….the warmth made me slow down, read, swim, have massages, eat regularly (not on the run), relax, regroup and allowed me to just “be”…I highly recommend a dose of selfcare for each of us – these moments don’t have to be in Bali but can be just savouring that coffee or tea, or watching the sunset or ….whatever takes you out of your day and allows you to concentrate on you. Arriving back on NZ soil always is a good feeling and driving over the crest of the control gate hill and seeing the spectacular view of the lake and mountains always makes my heart sing….yes we do live in a beautiful part of the world.
It was back to my new clinic and my feet have not really hit the ground since….
Now we have 1 month to go and its 2017….I love the thought that each moment, hour day, month is filled with opportunities… so its exciting thinking that there are plenty of those just waiting for us….
